Quinta da Fonte Bela lies in the heart of the Ribatejo area. They mainly produce wine in the Lisbon area, previously known as Estremadura. The owner and winemaker is José Neiva Correia. He is one of Portugal’s most experienced winemakers. His main philosophy is to make modern but also grape typical wines. In addition his wines should be affordable.
The winery lies in Quinta de Porto Franco, near the Alenquer area, ca. 50 km north of Lisbon. The are is great for wine production as it is protected against cold northerly winds by the Montejunto Mountain Range, and it gets a mild breeze from the Atlantic which is only 25 km to the west. The proximity to the sea is essential for growing Arinto in this area. The wines get a unique acidic character with fresh citrus aromas.
Paxis Arinto is a white wine made from 100% Arinto. Classic vinification with temperature controlled fermentation at 16-18C. Clear pale yellow colour. Fresh aroma of green apples, citrus and melon. Mineral and youthful freshness in the taste, good concentration. Long intense aftertaste. Serve as an aperitif, with fish and shellfish, salads and sushi.
Serving temperature: 8-10C. 12% alc.
